Job summary

Coherent Philippines Pte Ltd is seeking a Logistics Operations Coordinator to oversee import/export activities, warehouse coordination and on-time material movement. The role ensures regulatory compliance, cost control, and alignment with production schedules.

The candidate will work with Procurement, Planning, Production and Customer Service teams, leveraging ERP systems to track shipments and provide performance reporting. On-site in Calamba, Laguna.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, industrial engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years experience in logistics, import/export operations or supply chain roles.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine customs regulations and PEZA compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and MS Excel data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations including import/export, local deliveries and warehouse coordination.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine customs, PEZA requirements and international trade laws.
• Monitor costs and identify savings opportunities and process improvements.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Production and Customer Service teams.
• Utilize ERP (Oracle) for shipment transactions and inventory movement; prepare performance reports.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

1. Logistics Operations Management

• Oversee daily logistics operations (import/export, local deliveries, warehouse coordination)
• Ensure timely movement of materials, components and finished goods
• Monitor shipment status, resolve delays and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Coordinate with 3PL providers, freight forwarders and customs brokers

2. Import / Export & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Philippine customs regulations, PEZA requirements (if applicable) and international trade laws
• Review shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, AWB, permits)
• Manage import/export permits and licences
• Handle customs clearance issues

3. Cost & Performance Optimization

• Monitor logistics costs (freight, duties, storage, brokerage fees)
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements

4. Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Planning, Production and Customer Service teams
• Align logistics activities with production schedules and customer requirements
• Liaise with global counterparts for international shipments

5. Systems & Reporting

• Utilise ERP systems (Oracle & etc.) for shipment transaction and inventory movement
• Prepare reports on shipment performance, delays and cost analysis
• Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation

6. Continuous Improvement

• Support logistics process improvement initiatives
• Automate daily monitoring
• Participate in audits (ISO, internal, external compliance audits)

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Logistics / Supply Chain Management
• Industrial Engineering
• Business Administration or related field
• 1–2 years experience in logistics, supply chain or import/export operations
• Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & etc.)
• Experience in manufacturing / semiconductor / electronics environment is highly preferred
• Strong background in international shipping and customs compliance (Philippines)
• Knowledge of:
• Import/export regulations (Philippine Customs, PEZA, BOC)
• Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.)
• Freight management (air/sea/land)
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting)

Working Conditions

• Willing to work on-site in Calamba, Laguna
• Flexible with extended working hours (as required for shipment schedules)
• Experience dealing with multinational teams or global logistics is an advantage
