The Lineman will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical distribution lines within the solar farm. The role involves ensuring safe and efficient electrical connectivity between solar arrays, substations, and grid interconnection points. This position requires strong technical skills, strict adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in demanding outdoor environments.
Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground distribution lines within the solar farm.
Perform stringing, tensioning, splicing, terminating, and other line construction activities.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and other electrical equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to identify system faults, damages, or potential issues.
Maintain compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Operate linework equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, and hot sticks.
Support testing and commissioning activities as needed.
Coordinate with engineers, electricians, and construction teams to ensure timely project progress.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies, including proper PPE use and safe work practices.
Vocational or technical certificate in Electrical Technology, Power Line Installation, or related field.
Proven experience as a Lineman in electrical distribution, transmission, or renewable energy projects.
Knowledge of NEC, local electrical codes, and utility standards.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and line maps.
Physically fit and capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and under various weather conditions.
Willingness to work overtime, shifting schedules, and remote project locations.

Experience with medium-voltage (MV) distribution systems (13.8kV, 34.5kV, etc.)
