Job summary

MIESCOR Builders, Inc. is seeking a Lineman to assist in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead power lines. The role may involve working independently on dead and energized secondary distribution lines, under supervision of the crew head.

The candidate should have a high school or vocational education and 1-2 years of transmission/distribution line experience, with NC II certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or Vocational Course Graduate.
• 1-2 years of experience in transmission/distribution line works.
• Updated Electrical Installation & Maintenance NC II Certification is an advantage.
• Ability to work construction in a physically demanding atmosphere including, but is not limited to: carry, raise and climb a ladder, carry, lift and handle heavy equipment (manhole covers, cable reels).
• Preference given to candidates with telecom experience in outside plant construction (OSP) and FTTH projects.

Job description

The Lineman assists in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead power lines and drives work as directed; may work independently on dead as well as energized secondary distribution lines and with another lineman and close supervision of crew head, on or near primary lines where extra precautions are to be observed.
