About the role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join the Kitchen team at Andorra El Nido Leisure Corp in El Nido, Palawan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety, presentation and efficiency. Your contribution will directly impact our guests' satisfaction and our restaurant's reputation within this tropical hospitality destination.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and plating standards
- Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens and stovetops
- Organising and managing your station efficiently, ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are readily available
- Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
- Following portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and minimise food waste
- Collaborating with other kitchen staff and chefs to ensure timely and coordinated meal preparation
- Responding promptly to special requests from the head chef or kitchen manager
- Monitoring food quality and presentation, making adjustments as needed to meet company standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment throughout your shift
- Assisting with inventory management and reporting any equipment issues or supply shortages
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar kitchen role in a professional hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary best practices
- Excellent understanding of food safety, sanitation and health regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Exceptional attention to detail with regards to food quality and presentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods whilst working in a hot kitchen environment
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing menu requirements and guest preferences
- Knife skills and proficiency with standard kitchen equipment
- A passion for culinary excellence and commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences
- Relevant culinary qualification or certification is desirable but not essential if you possess substantial hands-on experience
