Job summary

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Philippine Branch invites a qualified Site Engineer/Inspector to join a World Bank‑funded public school retrofit project in Metro Manila. You will monitor and inspect on‑site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality requirements, and project schedules.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, a licensed engineer designation, at least five years of total experience and a minimum of three

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is required.
• Total work experience of at least 5 years.
• At least 3 years of experience in supervision or inspection on construction projects.
• Experience in building construction, rehabilitation, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.
• Strong English communication and reporting skills.
• Experience in World Bank, ADB, JICA, or foreign-assisted projects is a plus.
• Willingness to sign Certification of Commitment for bid submission.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections and monitor ongoing construction activities.
• Verify works comply with approved plans and technical specifications.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and construction methods.
• Coordinate with contractors, site personnel, and project engineering team.
• Identify construction deficiencies and report non‑compliance issues.
• Assist in monitoring project progress and construction schedules.
• Maintain accurate daily site records, inspection reports, and photographs.
• Assist with quality control activities and corrective actions.
• Communicate site findings clearly and support timely resolutions.
