Job summary

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Philippine Branch seeks a licensed Architect for a World Bank-funded school retrofitting project in Metro Manila. You will coordinate architectural design, perform technical reviews, and monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved plans and codes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Architecture, a valid license, and at least eight years in architecture or related building projects, including retrofit work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
• Licensed Architect status is required.
• Total work experience of at least 8 years.
• At least 5 years of experience in similar architectural or building construction work.
• Experience in building design, rehabilitation, renovation, or retrofitting projects.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and architectural standards.
• Good English communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Experience in World Bank, ADB, JICA, or other foreign-assisted infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to sign a Certification of Commitment for the bid submission.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate architectural requirements with structural and other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor architectural and building construction works.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, building codes, and project specifications.
• Review material submissions, shop drawings, and construction details.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with the Client, Consultants, contractors, and project personnel.
• Prepare architectural reports and other required technical documentation.
