Job summary

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Philippine Branch seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for a World Bank-funded retrofit of a public school in Metro Manila. You will oversee electrical installation, rehabilitation, and improvement works, ensuring compliance with approved plans, codes, safety standards, and project specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Must be a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer.
• Minimum of 8 years of total work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in similar electrical engineering or construction work.
• Experience in building electrical systems, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of applicable Philippine electrical codes and standards.
• Good English communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Experience in World Bank, ADB, JICA, or other foreign-assisted infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to sign a Certification of Commitment for the bid submission.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Supervise and monitor electrical installation and construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and installations.
• Review material submissions, shop drawings, and technical documents.
• Coordinate electrical works with other engineering disciplines.
• Identify technical issues and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
• Prepare inspection reports, progress reports, and technical documentation.
