Job summary

The successful candidate will have a JD or LLB with Philippine Bar eligibility and at least two years of legal experience in financial services or asset management.

Role Summary:

The Legal Officer is responsible for protecting ATRAM's legal interests by providing timely legal advice, managing contracts, and supporting regulatory and corporate governance requirements. The role partners with business units to mitigate legal risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable sound business decisions that support the firm's strategic objectives.

What Business Outcomes the Role is Responsible for:

• Deliver Trusted Legal Advisory: Provide practical, risk-based legal advice and support that enables informed business decisions, protects the organization's interests, and facilitates efficient resolution of legal matters.
• Strengthen Contract & Legal Risk Management: Ensure contracts, legal templates, and corporate documents are accurately drafted, negotiated, reviewed, and maintained to minimize legal exposure and support compliant business operations.
• Advance Regulatory Compliance & Corporate Governance: Drive the timely completion of regulatory filings, license renewals, corporate records management, and legal updates while fostering strong relationships with regulators, external counsel, and key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For in a Successful Candidate:

• Legal Expertise & Industry Knowledge: Holds a Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree with Philippine Bar eligibility, supported by at least two years of legal experience, preferably within financial services or the asset management industry.
• Legal Analysis & Commercial Judgment: Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, contract drafting, negotiation, and document review skills with the ability to provide practical legal solutions in a dynamic business environment.
• Stakeholder Management & Professional Excellence: Builds trusted relationships with senior management, business leaders, regulators, external counsel, and the Board through excellent communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
