Job summary

The VITO Group in the Philippines seeks an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic, business-focused legal and commercial guidance to senior management and operating units.

You will review and negotiate contracts, coordinate with external counsel, monitor regulatory matters, and manage risk across real estate, construction, and corporate affairs, ensuring compliance and protection of the company’s interests.

Qualifications

• LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized institution.
• Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing.
• 8–10 years of progressive legal experience, ideally with law firm and in-house corporate exposure.
• Exposure to real estate, property development, construction, corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory matters.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Philippine corporate, commercial, property, labor, and regulatory laws.
• Strong contract management, risk mitigation, due diligence, and corporate compliance expertise.
• Excellent communication; able to translate legal issues into business terms.
• Discretion and calm under pressure when dealing with authorities.

Key Qualifications

Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing is strongly preferred.

Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive legal experience, ideally combining law firm practice and in-house corporate experience.

Prior exposure to real estate, property development, construction, corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory matters.

Comprehensive knowledge of Philippine corporate, commercial, property, labor, and regulatory laws.

Strong expertise in contract management, risk mitigation, land acquisition/due diligence, and corporate compliance.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business terms.

Mature, confident, highly discreet, and capable of standing firm and remaining composed under pressure when dealing with challenging situations or authorities.
