Job summary

IDGC in Manila seeks a Legal and Compliance Manager to lead the company's legal, regulatory, and compliance functions, ensuring operations meet laws, licensing conditions, and internal policies.

You will guide management, draft and review agreements, coordinate with regulators, oversee reporting, and mentor the team with a focus on iGaming/regulatory affairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.).
• Licensed Lawyer and member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
• 3–5 years’ experience in legal, compliance, risk management, corporate governance, or regulatory affairs.
• Experience in the iGaming, gaming, casino, fintech, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine corporate, commercial, labor, and data privacy laws, PAGCOR rules/regulations preferred.

Legal and Compliance Manager

About the role

The Legal and Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the company's legal, regulatory, and compliance functions, ensuring that all business operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, licensing conditions, and internal policies. The role provides strategic legal and compliance guidance to management and supports all departments in identifying, managing, and mitigating legal and regulatory risks while safeguarding the organization's interests.

The position oversees the company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, regulatory issuances, corporate governance standards, and industry requirements, including but not limited to PAGCOR regulations and other legal and regulatory matters relevant to the company's operations. The role also establishes and maintains appropriate compliance frameworks, policies, and controls; monitors regulatory developments; and coordinates with relevant departments and regulatory authorities to ensure effective and timely compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the company's primary legal advisor, providing sound legal guidance to senior management and department heads.

• Monitor changes in laws and regulatory requirements and recommend necessary updates to company policies and business practices.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Act and serve as the company's legal representative before government agencies, regulatory bodies, courts, and other relevant external parties, as authorized by the company.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks affecting the organization.
• Lead and mentor the Legal and Compliance team to ensure effective execution of legal and compliance initiatives.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.).
• Licensed Lawyer and member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
• At least 3-5 years of overall experience in legal, compliance, risk management, corporate governance, or regulatory affairs.
• Experience in the iGaming, gaming, casino, fintech, or other highly regulated industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine corporate, commercial, labor, and data privacy laws, as well as PAGCOR rules and regulations, is highly preferred.
• Experience as an in-house legal counsel or within a corporate legal and compliance function is preferred.
• Proven experience in contract management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal risk management.
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to provide practical legal advice while balancing regulatory compliance and business objectives.
