Job summary

ib vogt is seeking an on-site Electrical Engineer for a fixed-term 10-month contract in Ajuy, Iloilo, Philippines. You will manage electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and ensure alignment with design specs, safety rules, and project timelines.

The role requires experience in PV/renewable projects, MV/HV systems, and collaboration with project teams to deliver quality results within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in electrical engineering, with power utilities, renewable energy (ground-mounted solar) or large-scale construction.
• Proficiency in construction methodologies and testing/commissioning.
• Knowledge of MV/HV substation construction and related testing.
• Familiarity with relevant standards, codes and safety requirements.
• English and Ilonggo are preferred for site work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical construction and installation activities including testing and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and industry standards.
• Conduct quality inspections across all electrical works.
• Identify and resolve non-conformities or defects.
• Coordinate with managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor progress and manage schedules and budgets.
