Job summary

Planate Management Group South East Asia Corp is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to design quality standards and oversee inspections across construction projects in the Philippines. The role requires enforcing quality procedures, managing laboratory tests, and coordinating with project staff to ensure adherence to specifications.

Applicants must be licensed engineers with 5+ years in large infrastructure projects, including on-site quality assurance and safety surveillance.

Qualifications

• Licensed Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite construction quality assurance and construction safety surveillance experience on a commercial or military infrastructure project.
• Experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design, under different construction conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work.
• Ensure the establishment of quality procedures including time limits for inspection, sampling and testing of works and other QA/QC requirements.
• Oversee and manage the quality assessment of materials through regular laboratory tests.
• Review technical specifications and recommend standard construction specifications for items of works.
• Review test forms, QA testing schedules and procedures and evaluate results.
• Review contractor practices and recommend remedial actions when needed.
• Work with project engineers and design consultants to establish QA/QC procedures with time limits.
• Conduct initial survey queries on material sources ensuring quality and quantity meet project value.
• Perform other responsibilities as may be appropriate.
