Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a senior Process Engineering Manager in Laguna to lead development, optimization, and qualification of manufacturing processes for assembly and test.

You will drive yield, quality, and cost improvements through data-driven problem solving and close collaboration with global technical teams. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years in semiconductor/manufacturing, plus 3+ years leading engineering teams; Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical focus.
• 5+ years in semiconductor, laser, photonics or optoelectronics manufacturing.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams; Lean Six Sigma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimization, and qualification of manufacturing processes on both assembly and test.
• Drive improvements in yield, quality, process capability, productivity and cost through data-driven problem solving.
• Manage product transfer, equipment commissioning, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.
• Lead root-cause investigations and preventive/corrective actions for process defects, reliability concerns, and manufacturing issues.
• Mentor process engineers and technicians with close stakeholder coordination across Product Eng, Equipment Eng, Quality, Operations and global teams.
