Job summary

TVI Resource Development Phils., Inc. is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead Owner’s technical oversight for tailings storage facility design, review EPCM work, and ensure alignment with site conditions and regulatory requirements.

You will assess seismic risks, design assumptions, and lifecycle considerations from construction through operations and closure. The role requires 15+ years in geotechnical engineering, with 10+ years in tailings or embankment dams, and strong regulatory

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (required).
Masters degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (preferred).
With 15+ years of professional geotechnical engineering experience.
10+ years focused on tailings storage facilities or embankment dams.
Significant experience in an Owner’s Engineer, or Technical Authority role.
Must have a general understanding of mining operations, regulatory process.

Responsibilities

Act as Owner’s technical representative for TSF geotechnical design oversight.
Review Designers and EPCM consultants' work for compliance with site conditions.
Ensure TSF designs reflect site geotechnical, hydrological, and seismic factors.
Lead design reviews of earth‑fill dam configurations and foundation work.
Ensure regulatory compliance with DENR, MGB, ECC conditions, and mine safety rules.
Support permitting, reporting obligations, and dam safety documentation.
Identify and assess geotechnical risks, including seismic and slope instability.
Provide lifecycle geotechnical oversight from design to operations and closure.
