Job summary

Philex Mining Corporation invites a Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical engineering, geology and project planning and design related to the TSF department to ensure the overall stability of Tailing Storage Facilities 1, 2 and 3. Requirements include a BS Geology, 3–5 years in TSF geotechnical work, knowledge of slope stability analysis or factor-of-safety computation, and registration as Geologist.

Willingness to be assigned to the Padcal mine site in Tuba, Benguet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Geology (BS Geology) degree.
• 3–5 years in geotechnical investigation, design and construction of TSF.
• Knowledge in slope stability analysis and/or factor-of-safety computation.
• Registered Geologist.
• Geotechnical analysis for dikes and embankments in ongoing construction.

• Take charge of Geotechnical Engineering, geology and Project Planning and Design matters related to the TSF department to ensure the overall stability of TSF 1,2 & 3.

Job description

General Function:

• Takes charge of Geotechnical Engineering, geology and Project Planning and Design matters related to the TSF department to ensure the overall stability of Tailing Storage Facility 1,2 & 3.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least graduate of Bachelor of BS Geology

• At least 3-5 years experience in Geotechnical Investigation, design and construction of Tailing Storage Facility (TSF);

• Preferably with knowledge in slope stability analysis and/or factor-of-safety computaion

• Registered Geologist

• Responsible in performing geotechnical analysis and study to assess condition of existing and on-going construction of dikes and emabnkment.

• Willing to be assigned in the mine site, Padcal Tuba, Benguet.
