Job summary

GHD is seeking an experienced Lead Geotechnical Engineer to drive technical leadership and project delivery within our Civil Infrastructure group. The role includes guiding investigations, designing geostructural solutions, reviewing reports, and mentoring a team across transportation, energy, and water sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; geotechnical specialty preferred.
• Typically 10–15+ years of geotechnical engineering experience in consulting, infra, or related industries.
• Advanced experience with finite element and geostructural analysis software (PLAXIS, RS2, GeoStudio).
• Working knowledge of local/international standards (DPWH, NSCP, AASHTO, ASTM, FAA).
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary geotechnical project teams with minimal oversight.
• Strong technical expertise across foundations, earthworks, ground improvement, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee geotechnical investigations from planning to reporting.
• Provide technical leadership for geotechnical and geostructural design.
• Review geotechnical reports, calculations, and deliverables for quality and consistency.
• Act as primary technical interface with clients for major projects.
• Lead risk assessments and develop constructible, cost-effective solutions.
• Mentor and develop a team of geotechnical engineers and designers.
