Job summary

Sporticulture is building a real fulfillment center and connecting Microsoft Business Central to a Warehouse Management System extension. The BC developer will own the BC implementation, model processes across inventory, warehousing, and postings, and collaborate with external BC consultants on the warehouse buildout.

The role requires modern AL development in VS Code, event-driven architecture expertise, and experience with BI/EDI integrations.

Qualifications

• Modern Business Central AL development in VS Code using extensions, API pages, codeunits, and data handling.
• Deep knowledge of BC event-driven and data-driven architecture and downstream effects.
• Experience with Job Queue, background processing, and AL performance hygiene.
• Experience integrating BC with a Warehouse Management System (WMS extension).
• Understanding warehousing fundamentals: bin locations, slotting, zone velocity, and picking flows.
• Ability to customize BC UI and build reports.
• Familiarity with source control, CI, and VS Code AL workflow.
• Product-owner mindset: balance tech tradeoffs and practical paths.
• Excellent, concise English communication.
• Comfort working with AI tools to speed workflow.
• Experience with TrueCommerce EDI integration within BC lifecycle.
• Power BI integration with BC.

Responsibilities

• Own the BC implementation and define best practices across inventory, warehousing, posting, and accounting.
• Collaborate with external BC consultants and internal teams on warehouse buildout.
• Integrate BC with WMS extensions and manage document lifecycles (shipments, picks, postings).
