Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Labor and Employee Relations leader to oversee the function across its business units, ensuring fair, compliant workplace relations and handling employee concerns, disciplinary cases, and DOLE-compliant practices.

The role partners with management and HR to resolve workplace issues, minimize labor risks, strengthen engagement, and guide the team on labor laws, investigations, and policy development across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in Labor Relations or Employee Relations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and DOLE regulations.
  • Experience with disciplinary cases, grievances, investigations, and employee complaints.
  • Experience with labor unions, CBAs, or collective bargaining is advantageous.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, investigation, and communication skills.
  • High integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement labor and employee relations strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage employee grievances, complaints, conflicts, and labor-related concerns.
  • Oversee disciplinary cases, including investigations and appropriate employment actions.
  • Provide guidance on labor law, employee relations, and disciplinary matters to management and HR teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and company policies.
  • Build positive labor-management relationships and support dispute resolution and negotiations.
  • Develop and standardize employee relations policies, procedures, and preventive programs.
  • Identify and mitigate labor risks and potential legal exposure.
  • Monitor and analyze grievances, disciplinary cases, absenteeism, turnover, and employee relations trends.
  • Prepare labor relations reports, case updates, and management recommendations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Labor & Employee Relations team.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, Operations, Finance, and business leaders on complex matters.
  • Conduct training for managers on labor law and disciplinary procedures.

The role is responsible for managing employee concerns, disciplinary cases, grievance handling, labor-management relations, and compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.

The position will serve as a strategic partner to management and HR teams in resolving workplace issues, minimizing labor risks, strengthening employee engagement, and promoting a positive and productive work environment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement labor and employee relations strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Build positive labor-management relationships and support dispute resolution and negotiations.

  • Develop and standardize employee relations policies, procedures, and preventive programs.

  • Monitor and analyze grievances, disciplinary cases, absenteeism, turnover, and employee relations trends.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Legal Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in Labor Relations, Employee Relations, or HR, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and employment practices.

  • Proven experience handling disciplinary cases, grievances, investigations, and employee complaints.

  • Experience in managing complex labor relations cases and workplace disputes.

  • Experience with labor unions, CBA negotiations, or collective bargaining is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of due process and proper documentation of employee relations cases.

  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, investigation, and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Experience in a shared services, FMCG, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or multi-company environment is preferred.
