Job summary

BaoBao Roast and Dimsum in the Philippines is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes, portions, and food safety procedures, while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and high quality in every dish served.

In this role you will coordinate with servers and other kitchen staff, monitor food quality, handle basic prep work, and follow restaurant standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook, Kitchen Staff, or Line Cook is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in basic food preparation and cooking procedures.
• Familiar with food safety and sanitation practices.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain food quality.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.

About the role

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food according to the restaurant's recipes, standards, and food safety procedures. The role requires someone who can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and quality in every dish served.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes and portion sizes.
• Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all food served.
• Prepare ingredients before cooking, including washing, cutting, measuring, and proper storage.
• Cook and prepare Chinese dishes, including noodles, buns, dimsums, and other menu items, as assigned.
• Follow proper cooking procedures and restaurant standards at all times.
• Ensure that food orders are prepared accurately and served on time.
• Coordinate with servers and other kitchen staff regarding customer orders.
• Monitor food quality and immediately report any concerns regarding ingredients or products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work area.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.

About you

• Experience as a Cook, Kitchen Staff, or Line Cook is preferred.
• Experience in Chinese cuisine is an advantage but not required.
• Knowledgeable in basic food preparation and cooking procedures.
• Familiar with food safety and sanitation practices.
• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Can follow standard recipes and instructions accurately.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain food quality and consistency.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and working in a busy kitchen.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when required.
