Job summary

Power Mac Center is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Commis Chef in preparing ingredients, cooking basic dishes, and maintaining back-of-house hygiene. This role helps ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to follow food safety standards, manage stock, assist with inventory, and minimize waste. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required according to opening hours.

Qualifications

• Experience as Kitchen Assistant or Line Cook is an advantage.
• Customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Commis Chefs to prepare ingredients efficiently and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment.
• Ensure ingredients are properly stored and available when needed.
• Assist with inventory checks and storage logs.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Handle weekend and holiday operating hours as required.
