Emapta Philippines is hiring a Junior Underwriter to support LendSwift, a US-based mortgage and financial services company. Based onsite in Ortigas, you will review credit reports, verify documentation, and help prepare files for closing while adhering to underwriting guidelines.

The role requires at least 2 years in mortgage underwriting or related field, a bachelor's degree, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mortgage underwriting, loan processing, financial services, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Working knowledge of federal and state regulations, regulatory requirements, and underwriting guidelines within the mortgage industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle concurrent tasks effectively, and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit reports, income documentation, assets, contracts, and appraisals.
• Research loan program guidelines and verify compliance with applicable underwriting standards.
• Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of the Uniform Residential Loan Application (Form 1003).
• Request Chain of Title documentation from title companies or seller attorneys during loan processing.
• Apply underwriting knowledge to income calculations and TRID guidelines.
• Create and maintain follow-up procedures for outstanding needs letters, appraisals, title documents, and approvals.
• Complete Clear to Close (CTC) audits for every loan file before submission.
• Communicate closing conditions and requirements clearly to borrowers.
• Order subordination agreements upon receipt of appraisal and title documentation.
• Coordinate and schedule closing dates and times with borrowers, loan officers, and title companies as required.
• Review refinance title commitments and verify borrower ownership, property tax status, and lien accuracy.
