Job summary

Talentium in Manila (Philippines) is seeking a proactive Scrum Master to support our B2C digital projects. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Agile principles and able to support development teams to deliver value.

You will facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments, coach the team, and collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a clear backlog. Strong English communication and experience with JIRA are required, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years as a Scrum Master.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• Experience with JIRA and Agile project management.
• Certified Scrum Master preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Agile principles and possess a solid understanding of the technologies used in B2C web platforms to effectively support development teams and drive successful outcomes.

Scope of Work/Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Ensure Scrum events are conducted efficiently, timeboxed, and deliver value.
• Remove impediments to the team’s progress and foster collaboration between stakeholders and the Scrum Team.
• Promote self-management, cross-functionality, and a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to maintain a well-defined, actionable backlog.
• Coach the team and broader organization on Agile best practices, tools, and mindset.
• Identify, communicate, and manage risks, issues, and change impacts.
• Track sprint progress using JIRA or equivalent Agile project management tools.
• Maintain relevant team and project documentation using appropriate documentation platforms.
• Understand technical concepts and project architecture to support planning, risk mitigation, and alignment.
• Encourage transparency, accountability, and open communication across teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or arelated field
• 2-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as JIRA.
• Certified Scrum Master preferred but not required.
• Solid understanding of Agile frameworks and software development practices.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributedteams.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to clearly explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Technical Background:

• Familiarity or experience with .NET, ReactJS, Java, and SQL technologies.
