Job summary

Hive Health in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented junior Accountant to join our finance team. You will manage day-to-day financial transactions, oversee accounts, and ensure accurate financial records across the organization.

Ideal candidates have strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks or Xero, plus a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy. Onsite work at Ortigas, Pasig twice weekly; Day 1 benefits for full-time employees are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Proficient in Excel and office software.
• Understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Accounting or related degree preferred but not required.
• Willing to work onsite in Ortigas, Pasig 2x a week; CPA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Financial Records: Record and manage all financial transactions including AP/AR and reconciliations.
• Prepare Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare and maintain tax records.
• Spearhead Audits: Provide schedules and reports for external audits.
• Compliance: Support regulatory compliance with Insurance Commission and others.
• Manage Accounts: Oversee general ledger and ensure accurate posting.
• Document Payroll: Ensure payroll documentation of salaries, bonuses, deductions.
• Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile bank statements and assets regularly.
• Monitor Expenses: Track expenses and ensure budget compliance.
• Communication: Collaborate with departments and management to resolve discrepancies.
