Atlantic Grains Inc. is seeking a Bakery Laboratory Technician to conduct bake tests and evaluate pastries and bread products in a dedicated bakery laboratory. You will prepare ingredients, run tests, assess quality, and document results while ensuring clean, compliant lab spaces.

This role involves conducting bake tests and evaluating baked products in a bakery laboratory setting. You will prepare ingredients and samples, perform quality assessments, maintain equipment, and support food safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare ingredients, materials, and flour samples for bake tests
Conduct bake tests for in-process, special, shelf-life, and product development samples
Evaluate baked products based on quality parameters such as appearance, volume, texture, and consistency
Record bake test results and prepare evaluation and summary reports
Monitor and update inventory of bakery ingredients, materials, and flour sample usage
Prepare material requisitions and monitor daily gas consumption
Maintain bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and slicers, to ensure proper working condition
Keep the bakery laboratory clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping and waste segregation standards
Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of bakery equipment and work areas
Support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
Graduate of Baking Technology or a vocational course in Baking
At least 6 months of experience in baking, bread preparation, or related processes
Candidates with at least 2 years of practical baking experience may also be considered, even without a related degree
Knowledge of baking techniques, bread production, and food safety practices
Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and Good Laboratory Practices is an advantage
Detail-oriented with good organizational, documentation, and communication skills
