Job summary

ING Hubs Philippines is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to evolve our HALO platform and deliver enterprise-grade Java applications. You will design, develop, test, and support scalable microservices within an Agile environment, focusing on security, performance, and observability.

You’ll collaborate with product stakeholders, engineers, and platform teams to drive modernization, resilience, and reliable integrations using REST APIs, Kafka, MQ, and other messaging technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or application development.
• Strong background in Java application development.
• Experience with complex enterprise environments.
• Understanding of SDLC, coding standards, and IT risk controls.
• Experience supporting production systems and incident management activities.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our team and help evolve our in-house developed platform, HALO, a critical service used by multiple applications and teams across ING.

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, testing, enhancing, and supporting modern enterprise applications while ensuring security, stability, performance, and operational excellence. Working within an agile environment, you'll collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and platform teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive business value.
