Job summary

ING Retail Tech Philippines is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software for ING's retail banking services. You’ll work with Java 8+ and Spring, plus frontend tech, REST APIs, and automated testing as part of a diverse global team.

You’ll report to a Chapter Lead, contribute to technical excellence, and participate in Agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 8+ (Java 11+ preferred) and Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
• Strong frontend basics (JavaScript/HTML/CSS) and RESTful API development.
• Experience with Git and automated testing (JUnit/Mockito).
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications that support ING's retail banking services. You'll work with modern technologies to deliver high-quality software, contribute to technical excellence, and help drive innovation across our digital platforms. You will report to a Chapter Lead who will support your professional growth while giving you the autonomy to contribute meaningfully to the team's success.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience developing applications using Java 8+ (Java 11+ preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with Git or other version control tools
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
• Working knowledge of RESTful API development
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in Agile environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with SQL databases, JPA, Hibernate, or similar technologies
• Exposure to microservices architecture
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies
• Experience with CI/CD platforms, particularly Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with Maven and related build tools
• Interest in cloud technologies and modern engineering practices
