About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Japanese Bilingual Contract Specialist to assist in managing client relationships to maximize commercial value while maintaining operational compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to- end contract governance, client engagement, and guiding junior contract management team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract & Risk Management: Manage end-to- end contracts, subcontracts, and commercial agreements in full compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and client business requirements.

• Client Engagement & Advisory: Maintain high visibility on assigned accounts and act as a client-facing trusted partner to internal executives and external client counterparts.

• Leadership & Coaching: Direct, mentor, and review the work activities of junior contract management professionals and project engagement staff.

• Strategic Collaboration: Contribute to and influence key commercial and contracting decisions, ensuring proper resolution of contract and commercial issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Language Proficiency: Proficient to fluent in Japanese (JLPT N1, N2, or N3 equivalent level) with strong oral and written business communications skills; fluent in English.

• Work Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in contract management, handling complex, high-risk deals, and proven team management/leadership experience.

• Commercial Expertise: Solid understanding of main commercial principles, contract governance, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Technical Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
