Chunnel and Channel Realty Marketing and Development Corp. is seeking an IT/Technical Support professional to assist employees with hardware, software, and network issues.
You will install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other equipment, while ensuring secure and reliable IT services. The role covers troubleshooting OS, email, and connectivity, managing user accounts, and monitoring networks.
The IT/Technical Support is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to employees by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, networks, and other IT-related systems. This role ensures the smooth operation of the company's technology infrastructure and promptly resolves technical issues to minimize downtime.
Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related concerns.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving operating systems, applications, email, internet connectivity, and peripherals.
Set up and configure user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
Monitor and maintain the company's network, internet connection, and Wi-Fi systems.
Perform routine system updates, software installations, and security patches.
Diagnose and resolve hardware failures and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and technical assets.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Ensure the security and confidentiality of company data by following IT policies and best practices.
Document technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
Provide user orientation and basic IT training to employees when needed.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for technical support and maintenance.
Perform preventive maintenance on computer systems and other IT equipment.
Support company events or operations requiring audiovisual, livestreaming, or technical setup, when necessary.
Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT support, technical support, or a similar role is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and common business applications.
Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and wireless networks.
Familiarity with computer hardware troubleshooting and peripheral device installation.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, antivirus management, and data protection.
Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, Google Workspace, or cloud-based platforms is a plus.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and respond to technical concerns promptly.
Willing to provide on-site technical support and occasional travel to company branches, if required.
