About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Staff member to join our team in Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao. This role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and ensuring that all users receive timely and effective technical support. As IT Support Staff, you will be the frontline of our technical support operations, providing assistance to end-users and contributing to the overall stability and security of our systems. This position offers the opportunity to develop your technical expertise whilst making a direct impact on organisational productivity and user satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Diagnose and resolve common IT problems including printer connectivity, email configuration, software installation, and user access issues
• Maintain and update IT support documentation and knowledge base articles to improve resolution times and support quality
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications
• Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control administration
• Monitor and manage IT assets, including inventory tracking and device lifecycle management
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or specialised teams when necessary
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system security and performance
• Support the implementation of IT policies and procedures across the organisation
• Maintain professional and courteous communication with users at all technical levels

What we're looking for

• Certification in IT fundamentals or CompTIA A+ certification, or equivalent practical experience in IT support
• Proven experience in a help desk or IT support role, with a track record of effective problem resolution
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and basic network troubleshooting
• Competence in managing and supporting common software applications and email systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple support requests effectively
• Customer-focused mindset with patience and a commitment to user satisfaction
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating with other IT team members
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection principles
• Preferred experience with ticketing systems and IT support tools
