Responsibilities

• Record, track, and document help desk requests from initial to final resolution.
• Perform related duties aligned with the role’s scope and intent.
• Access software updates, drivers, FAQs to aid resolution.
• Hands-on fixes at the desktop level: install/upgrade software, backups, configure systems.
• Test fixes to ensure issues are resolved.
• Build rapport and elicit problem details from users.
• Recognize and respond to systemic problems impacting users or the company.
• Address tickets related to hardware, software, OS, and basic network issues.
• Guide users through installing apps and peripherals, including remote assistance.

Job description

The IT Support shall assist end-users with hardware and software issues. He or she shall provide on-site or remote technical assistance including the setting up of computer hardware systems, installing and upgrading software, and troubleshooting IT issues.

Main Responsibilities:

• Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution.

• Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position

• Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.

• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.

• Test fixes to ensure the problem has been adequately resolved.

• Build rapport and elicit problem details from help desk customers.

• Recognize and respond accordingly to systemic customer and company-impacting problems.

• Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, Operating System-related issues, and basic network troubleshooting.

• Walk users through installing applications and computer peripherals, including remote assistance

Requirements:

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

• At least 3-5 years' work experience as a Desktop Support, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
