Job summary

Job Summary

The IT Specialist is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and technical support of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and related applications. This role ensures successful system deployment, integration, troubleshooting, and user adoption while providing technical assistance to customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

System Implementation & Project Management

• Implement, configure, and deploy Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and related applications.
• Manage project timelines, documentation, system testing, user acceptance, and deployment activities.
• Coordinate system integrations, customizations, and technical requirements with customers and stakeholders.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution discussions with clients.

Technical Support & Maintenance

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for LIS applications, servers, networks, and related IT infrastructure.
• Perform system upgrades, preventive maintenance, software deployment, and performance monitoring.
• Support system integrations, database connectivity, interfaces, and analyzer connectivity requirements.
• Utilize ticketing and documentation systems to track, resolve, and report technical issues.

Training & Customer Support

• Conduct user and administrator training to ensure effective system adoption and utilization.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customers, business partners, and internal teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, technical concerns, and post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in IT support, systems implementation, application support, or systems administration.
• Experience in hardware and network support, including servers, IT infrastructure, and enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, Oracle).
• Knowledge of system integration, programming/scripting, and ticketing or documentation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination skills; experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or healthcare IT solutions is preferred. Willing to travel for onsite implementation, training, and support activities.
