Your Role And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Support & Operations

• Provide day-to-day support for LIMS applications and laboratory users.
• Oversee the resolution of incidents, problems, and service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for complex LIMS application, integration, and data-related issues.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, interface, integration, and data issues.
• Monitor application performance, system health, interfaces, and integrations, and proactively identify potential issues.
• Coordinate issue escalation with vendors, infrastructure teams, application teams, and other technical stakeholders as required.
• Support production environments and ensure appropriate incident, problem, and change management processes are followed.
• Maintain knowledge articles, technical documentation, support procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Team Leadership & Workload Management

• Distribute support, enhancement, and implementation activities among team members based on priorities, skills, and workload.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, mentoring, and workload management for support team members.
• Coordinate support activities across multiple laboratory sites and time zones.
• Mentor support analysts and laboratory administrators to improve technical capabilities and support effectiveness.
• Facilitate regular support reviews, team meetings, and status updates.
• Communicate support priorities, risks, issues, trends, and improvement opportunities to leadership.

LIMS Administration & Configuration

• Configure and maintain LIMS master data, workflows, test methods, user roles, security settings, and other system configurations.
• Oversee master data maintenance and governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Review and approve system configuration and master data changes.
• Ensure configuration changes are appropriately assessed, tested, documented, and approved prior to deployment.
• Guide solution design for new business requirements, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Ensure LIMS solutions align with global standards, governance requirements, and industry best practices.

Integration & Technical Support

• Support laboratory instrument integrations, interface monitoring, and data exchange processes.
• Troubleshoot interfaces, APIs, instrument drivers, and other system integrations.
• Work with technical teams to investigate connectivity and integration issues.
• Apply knowledge of databases, SQL, APIs, and data integration technologies to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Support system upgrades, patches, enhancements, configuration changes, and related deployment activities.

Testing, Validation & Implementation

• Perform and/or coordinate testing, validation, and deployment activities for new functionality and system changes.
• Ensure changes are properly tested, validated, documented, and approved before production deployment.
• Assist with implementation projects, system upgrades, enhancements, and go-live activities.
• Support user acceptance testing, validation activities, training, and post-go-live support.
• Participate in implementation projects and contribute to solution design and delivery activities.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with site laboratories, business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and other technical teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
• Coordinate with vendors and technical teams to resolve complex application and integration issues.
• Translate laboratory and business requirements into practical LIMS solutions.
• Provide clear and timely communication regarding priorities, risks, issues, and project or support status.
• Identify opportunities to improve system usability, operational efficiency, and data quality.
