About the role
This role involves supporting the planning, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of IT projects from initiation through completion. You will maintain and update project plans, timelines, documentation, trackers, and status reports using Project Management Systems, and coordinate with project teams, technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management to facilitate timely project execution.
Key responsibilities
- Support the planning, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of IT projects from initiation through completion
- Maintain and update project plans, timelines, documentation, trackers, and status reports using Project Management Systems (PMS) and related tools
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines to ensure projects remain on track
- Coordinate with project teams, technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management to facilitate timely project execution
- Track project budgets, resource allocation, and utilization, and assist in identifying variances and required corrective actions
- Assist in preparing project proposals, business cases, presentations, status reports, and other project-related materials
- Support the implementation and maintenance of PMO governance, standards, processes, and documentation
- Assist in establishing and implementing project management best practices, templates, and processes across the technology organization
- Monitor and maintain project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating concerns to the appropriate project manager or stakeholders
- Facilitate and document project meetings, including kick-offs, status reviews, working sessions, and project closure meetings
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in PMO, Project Coordination, or IT Project Management, preferably within an IT or technology environment
- Working knowledge and practical experience with Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, Scrum, or other recognized project management methodologies
- Proficiency in Project Management Systems (PMS) and project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, deliverable management, and project documentation
- Experience in stakeholder coordination and project status reporting
- Working knowledge of risk and issue management, including tracking, escalation, and follow-through
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate and organized project records
