Role summary

You will manage infrastructure and operating environments, respond to incidents, and improve system reliability through automation. This role blends hands-on engineering with operational ownership, giving you exposure to cloud, containers, and enterprise-scale platforms.

Your Focus Will Include

• Managing Linux and Windows environments
• Supporting virtualized and containerized platforms
• Monitoring system performance and resolving incidents
• Automating repetitive operational tasks
• Improving reliability, availability, and scalability

About the team

You will join a globally connected operations environment supporting both Wholesale and Retail Banking services. The team works across infrastructure, platforms, and applications—collaborating closely with engineering, security, and architecture teams.

Required skills

We’re looking for engineers who are curious, proactive, and comfortable working across technologies.

Core technical skills:

• Strong experience with Linux and Windows systems
• Virtualization (VMWare or similar)
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, load balancing)

Engineering & operations:

• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git)
• Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Monitoring and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
• Incident and problem management

Nice to have:

• Database knowledge (SQL)
• Experience with IT risk controls, audit support, or compliance
• Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery setups
