Job summary

FPG Mercantile Insurance is seeking an IT Operations Lead to ensure reliable IT services and effective infrastructure management. You will work with internal teams, business stakeholders, and partners to support continuity, security, and efficient service delivery.

You will oversee daily IT operations, monitor performance, resolve incidents, and drive improvements across networks, servers, and systems while ensuring robust backup and disaster recovery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, CE, or related field.
• 3–5 years in IT operations or infrastructure.
• Experience in lead/supervisory roles is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of networks, servers, OS, and systems administration.
• Experience with backup, DR, and IT security practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day IT infrastructure operations and support.
• Monitor availability and performance of servers, networks, and systems.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed timelines.
• Perform regular maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and DR processes.
• Coordinate with users, IT teams, vendors, and partners.
• Manage IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Support network and server administration and IT asset management.
• Maintain system security and access controls.
• Produce regular IT operations reports.
