Job summary

WalterMart Shopping Center is seeking an IT Support candidate in the Philippines to provide first-level technical assistance across hardware, software, network, and systems. The role includes setting up user accounts, configuring devices, and maintaining IT inventory.

The position involves responding to service requests, performing basic security routines, and coordinating with external vendors as needed to ensure timely resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and system-related concerns.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
• Assist in setting up user accounts, email accounts, applications, and system access.
• Troubleshoot basic network, internet, Wi-Fi, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor and maintain IT equipment, including inventory, deployment, and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in the installation, updating, and maintenance of software and operating systems.
• Respond to IT service requests and ensure concerns are properly documented and resolved within the agreed timeframe.
• Maintain an updated IT asset and equipment inventory.
• Assist in data backup, file recovery, and basic IT security procedures.
• Support employees during the setup of new workstations, transfers, and onboarding of new hires.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors or service providers when specialized technical assistance is required.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining IT policies, procedures, and security controls.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Officer, IT Supervisor, or appropriate technical team.
• Perform other IT-related duties and projects as assigned.
