Job summary

HTK is seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer to support, optimize, and scale the core IP backbone, developing and maintaining robust LAN/WAN architectures for reliability and performance.

You will contribute to design, installation, testing, and ongoing improvements of internal and external networks, with hands-on Cisco SP gear and a focus on advanced routing protocols. Evening and weekend maintenance windows apply.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of BGP, MPLS, and IS-IS/OSPF routing.
• Hands-on Cisco Service Provider hardware experience.
• Willing to work maintenance windows outside office hours.
• CCNA/CCNP Routing & Switching preferred; CCIE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain the IP backbone network.
• Design and install LAN/WAN networks for internal and external use.
• Test, evaluate, and improve network systems to increase reliability.
