We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring secure, high-performance, and resilient connectivity across our organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of complex network architectures and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
As a senior member of the IT Infrastructure team, you will play a key role in driving strategic network initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across departments to deliver innovative and secure networking solutions.
Design and Architecture: Lead the design and deployment of robust and scalable LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN infrastructures to support business operations and future growth.
Operations and Support: Oversee the daily operations and administration of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and other critical networking hardware.
Performance and Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, ManageEngine OPManager) to assess network health, ensure optimal performance, and proactively address issues.
Security Compliance: Implement and maintain network security protocols and technologies including firewalls, IPS/IDS, ACLs, NAC, and segmentation to safeguard enterprise data and infrastructure.
Incident Response: Serve as the highest point of escalation for complex network-related incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
Documentation: Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, technical documentation, asset inventories, and change logs.
Collaboration: Work closely with cybersecurity, systems, cloud, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of infrastructure services.
Vendor and Project Management: Evaluate and manage vendors, service providers, and hardware/software solutions as part of network project delivery.
Innovation and Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to increase reliability, efficiency, and security across the network.
Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior network engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4/5/7, Juniper JNCIS, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
Advanced knowledge of networking protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, QoS.
Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Sophos XG), load balancers, and network access controls.
Proven experience managing large-scale network deployments, migrations, or data center projects.
