Job summary

MSM-HK Telecom Technology in Metro Manila seeks an experienced IP Network Engineer to support, optimize, and scale our core IP backbone. You will design, implement, and maintain robust LAN/WAN architectures to improve network reliability and performance.The role requires 4–6 years of hands-on experience with BGP, MPLS, IS-IS/OSPF, and Cisco SP gear (NCS, ASR, Nexus/CRS). CCNA/CCNP is strongly preferred; CCIE is a plus. Willingness to work maintenance windows.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on engineering experience in a network environment.
• Proficient with BGP, MPLS, and IS-IS/OSPF routing protocols.
• Experience configuring Cisco Service Provider hardware platforms is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, improving and maintaining the IP backbone network.
• Help design and install internal and external LAN/WAN networks using advanced LAN/WAN knowledge.
• Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and improve performance.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer with a strong background to support, optimize, and scale our core IP backbone. In this role, you will develop, improve, and maintain robust LAN/WAN architectures while driving network reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development, improvement and maintenance of the IP backbone network.
• Using knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
• Testing and evaluating network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

Requirements & Technical Skills

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on engineering experience in a network environment.
• Mastery of advanced BGP (including BGP Communities), MPLS (L2/L3 VPNs, Traffic Engineering), and IS-IS/OSPF routing protocols.
• Deep hands-on experience configuring and supporting Cisco Service Provider hardware platforms:
  • Cisco NCS Series
  • Cisco ASR Series (9000, 9900, 1000)
  • Cisco Nexus & CRS Series
• Working Conditions & Availability: Willingness to work maintenance windows outside standard office hours (nights/weekends).
• Certifications: CCNA/CCNP (Routing & Switching or Service Provider) strongly preferred; CCIE is a plus.
