About the role
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and stock control across all client accounts within the 3PL fulfillment center. This role leads a team of inventory associates, enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs), and partners with Operations, Client Services, and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) team to ensure inventory data integrity, minimize shrinkage, and support on-time order fulfillment. The Inventory Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining client service-level agreements (SLAs) by ensuring inventory records match physical stock at all times.
Key responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse transactions (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, transfers, and returns) to ensure inventory accuracy across all client SKUs
Plan and lead daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts; coordinate periodic full physical inventories per client requirements
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root-cause analysis; document findings and implement corrective actions
Process inventory adjustments in the WMS with proper approvals and audit trail documentation
Monitor for and prevent inventory shrinkage, damage, and mislocation; lead loss-prevention initiatives
Supervise, schedule, and delegate daily work assignments for inventory and cycle-count staff
Train new and existing associates on inventory procedures, WMS scanning/transactions, and safety protocols
Develop, document, and continuously improve inventory control SOPs to minimize losses and reduce operating costs
Serve as the inventory point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring inventory practices meet each client's SLA requirements
Track and report on key metrics including inventory accuracy rate, cycle count completion, shrinkage %, fill rate, and on-time putaway/pick rates
About you
Ability to supervise, schedule, and delegate daily work assignments for inventory and cycle-count staff
Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels, locations, lot/serial data, and cycle count schedules
Knowledge of inventory control procedures, cycle counting, and stock control processes
Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root-cause analysis
Experience with safety standards, OSHA compliance, and adherence to SOPs
