Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and ensuring accuracy of inventory records across the organization. This role sits under the Finance Department and plays a critical part in cost control, inventory valuation, and operational efficiency. The position will closely collaborate with Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure proper inventory movement, reconciliation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses and channels
• Perform regular inventory reconciliations (physical vs system) and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure proper inventory valuation aligned with accounting standards (FIFO, weighted average, etc.)
• Analyze inventory movements including purchases, transfers, and usage
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics on stock movements, deliveries, and adjustments
• Support month-end closing activities related to inventory (costing, adjustments, reporting)
• Identify slow-moving, aging, and obsolete inventory and recommend actions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements
• Prepare inventory reports and provide insights to management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
• At least2–4 years of experiencein inventory, accounting, or finance-related roles
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and costing methods
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central or similar)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reconciliation, reporting)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Skills

• Experience in FMCG, food industry, or distribution business
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory flow
• Background in audit or internal controls is an advantage
