Job Description

Cost and Inventory Specialist include collecting and analyzing data about the company’s inventory, providing recommendations based on data to reduce cost and maximize profit, managing inventory items, and performing account reconciliations. Gather financial information and analyze to uncover inefficiencies. To make estimate production costs and track changes to regular costs.

Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting Function
• Responsible for product costing, inventory valuation and preparation of production and month-end reports. Analyst will also assist in COGS variance analysis as well as investigation of Inventory variances.
• Assist in the determination of standard cost for the different product lines
• Responsible for determining the landed cost of production materials
• Prepares and monitors Purchase Price Variance and ensures that significant fluctuations are communicated to the management
• Prepare and monitor monthly production forecast
• Responsible for the preparation of Net Production Volume report
• Responsible for the preparation of Usage Variance report
• Assist in Volume-Price-Mix variance analysis
• Perform monthly reconciliation of Inventory accounts and ensure that any variance between recorded inventory and physical count is researched and resolved
• Perform month-end accounting procedures
• Facilitate monthly/Annual Inventory count
• Monitors Inventory conversion period of major raw materials and finished goods
• Review consumption/inter transfer entries and analyze abnormal or unusual balances
• Analyze and check accuracy of consumption report
• Audit of co-owned stores which include, physical inventory sampling, cash count and sales evaluation and safe control
• Conduct monthly actual inventory in Commissary and store company owned
• Performs other tasks which may be assigned from time to time
• Maintaining and improving the company's inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics to determine which products are selling and which are not
• Ensure all inventory valuations and GL balances are accurate
• Performing extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports, from previous inventory reports to purchasing trends
• Ensure all Store locations are performing regular inventory counts
• Drafting inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data
• Reporting inventory statistics to management and suggesting improvements to inventory control
• Coordinating with other workers to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue
• Creating and maintaining inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory
• Performs Reconciliations

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting with relevant experience in Cost Accounting, Inventory Management and business partnering through preparation and monitoring of reports such as Product Mix, COGS analysis and BOM monitoring.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in cost accounting, audit, fixed assets, inter-company accounting and reconciliation, month-end close.
• Preferably with experience in Restaurant Industry
• Preferably with experience in QuickBooks and Zero System
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Can work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Must be willing to work in Mandaluyong City
