Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager - Technical Services to lead a large, diverse inventory operation in Port Moresby. You will drive forecasting, planning, procurement and data integrity across approximately 4,500 SKUs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of inventory planning and forecasting across approximately 4,500 SKUs
• Analyse historical demand, sales patterns, lead times and anticipated requirements
• Establish and refine min/max levels, buffer stocks, reorder points and replenishment parameters
• Improve stock availability while reducing excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory
• Maximise the effectiveness of the ERP system for inventory management, analysis and reporting
• Improve inventory master data, reporting accuracy and overall data integrity
• Manage procurement across local and international suppliers
• Improve purchasing outcomes through better quantity planning, sourcing and supplier management
• Monitor international supply lead times and incorporate these into inventory decisions
• Oversee warehouse controls, stock accuracy, cycle counting and reconciliation
• Support the parts sales function and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance
• Lead and develop the parts and inventory team
• Drive continuous improvement across inventory, procurement and supply chain processes
• Experience within automotive parts, heavy equipment, industrial products, appliances, air conditioning, commercial equipment or another parts-intensive environment

Inventory Manager - Technical Services

Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

An established and highly regarded Papua New Guinea business is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager - Technical Services to lead and further develop a significant parts and inventory operation based in Port Moresby.

This is considerably broader than a traditional warehouse management position. The role requires an experienced inventory professional who understands how to use data, ERP systems, forecasting and demand planning to ensure the business has the right stock, in the right quantities, at the right time and at the right cost.

Managing approximately 4,500 SKUs, the Inventory Manager will have responsibility across the complete inventory cycle, including forecasting, planning, international procurement, stock control, data integrity, warehousing, distribution and parts sales.

The operation supports a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial products, including appliances, air conditioning, commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, audiovisual products and other technical equipment. Inventory is sourced through an established international supplier network across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Ideally, you will bring:

• Significant inventory management, parts management, supply chain or materials management experience
• Experience managing a large and diverse SKU portfolio
• Strong forecasting and demand-planning capability
• Practical knowledge of min/max methodology, buffer stocks and replenishment planning
• Experience with a major ERP platform such as Pronto, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or Oracle
• Strong understanding of inventory master data and data integrity
• International procurement and supplier-management experience
• Sound knowledge of warehousing, stock control, receipting and dispatch
• Strong analytical and commercial skills
• Experience leading teams and implementing process improvements

Experience within automotive parts, heavy equipment, industrial products, appliances, air conditioning, commercial equipment or another parts-intensive environment would be particularly relevant.

Previous Pronto experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong inventory planning and forecasting capability using another established ERP platform is more important.
