Cloud Ecommerce is seeking an Inventory Accountant to manage the general ledger and oversee all inventory-related transactions for clients. The role involves generating regular inventory reports, analyzing variances, and leading physical counts to ensure accurate stock records.

The position requires coordinating with brand, 3PL, and marketplace teams, preparing claims, and maintaining related databases. A bachelor's degree in business or logistics and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain General Ledger

Inventory accountants oversee every transaction and add it to the client’s general ledger. This includes customer transactions as well as the purchases made.

• Regularly Generate and Analyze Inventory

Reports Inventory accountants use software to pull regular reports on either a daily or weekly basis. They analyze these inventory reports to make sure there are no discrepancies or variances.

• Diagnose the Cause of Inventory Variance

When inventory accountants notice discrepancies, they become detectives determined to find the root cause of the issue. They are often the ones who uncover internal theft.

• Lead Physical Inventory Counts for Clients

Inventory accountants create a plan for each inventory audit and work with the client’s management team to implement said plan. Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.

• Create and Archive Monthly Journal Entries

Inventory accountants use enterprise resource planning or data management software to create and archive monthly journal entries that provide a snapshot of all notable analysis that happened throughout the month.

• Claims accountant

Should communicate with brand, 3PL, Marketplace.-Should prepare claims form and other documentary requirement.-Review and maintain claims information database. Should ensure all claims are billed and received accordingly.
