Job summary

Caravan Food Group Inc. is seeking an Inventory Analyst to support inventory control and financial reporting in Makati. The role covers end-to-end stock reconciliation, monitoring movements, and coordinating with warehouse, purchasing, retail operations, and accounting teams.

You will perform periodic counts, analyze variances, prepare journals for adjustments, and assist with month-end closing and inventory schedules. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with strong Excel and analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or related field.

  • Experience in inventory accounting, inventory audit, or inventory management is an advantage but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory/accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review stock transfers (in/out) and reconcile transfer-out with transfer-in transactions.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory movements using the company’s systems.

  • Consolidate and analyze inventory count results.
  • Investigate inventory variances, discrepancies, and shrinkages.
  • Prepare and submit periodic inventory balance reports.
  • Organize inventory disposal documentation and processing.
  • Prepare journal vouchers for inventory adjustments.
  • Verify accuracy of inventory costing, stock balances, and valuation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documents.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Audit Group on reconciliations.

Job description

A. Inventory Management & Reconciliation
  • Review stock transfers (in/out) and ensure transfer-out transactions from transferring stores are properly reconciled with transfer-in transactions of receiving stores.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory movements using the company’s inventory and accounting systems.
  • Organize and coordinate periodic and cycle inventory counts.
  • Consolidate and analyze inventory count results.
  • Investigate inventory variances, discrepancies, and shrinkages.
  • Prepare and submit periodic inventory balance reports.
  • Organize inventory disposal documentation and processing.
  • Prepare journal vouchers (JVs) for inventory-related adjustments.
  • Verify accuracy of inventory costing, stock balances, and inventory valuation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized inventory records and supporting documents.
  • Work closely with the Inventory Audit Group regarding inventory concerns and reconciliations.
B. Financial Reporting & System Monitoring
  • Assist in month-end inventory closing activities.
  • Generate inventory monitoring and variance analysis reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions in the system.
  • Support audit requirements by preparing necessary inventory schedules and reports.
  • Identify system discrepancies and recommend process improvements related to inventory monitoring and reporting.
C. Other Functions
  • Assist in other operational tasks in cases of manpower shortage or urgent situations including but not limited to inventory count, cash count, special audit, and related activities.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, retail operations, and accounting teams regarding inventory concerns.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
