Job summary

Amentum seeks a Lead Fire Alarm Dispatcher to supervise daily operations of the Fire Alarm Dispatch Center and ensure timely, accurate emergency communications in support of Fire and Emergency Services on Diego Garcia. The role provides leadership to dispatch personnel, oversees alarm monitoring, and coordinates responses with military and government agencies.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in lead dispatch or emergency communications, relevant certifications, and the ability to work in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years as lead dispatcher or emergency communications professional.
• Certifications: Telecommunications Operator I and II and HazMat Awareness.
• Knowledge of fire service operations, emergency medical dispatch, and fire alarm monitoring systems.
• Experience operating Computer Aided Dispatch systems and radio communications equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and oversee Fire Alarm Dispatch personnel.
• Ensure staff training per SOPs and policies.
• Monitor fire alarm, medical, and emergency detection systems and responses.
• Coordinate with military, government, and mutual aid agencies during incidents.
• Maintain detailed incident records and dispatch documentation.
