BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking a Claims Officer to assist clients in processing and settlement of insurance claims.

The role supports efficient claims processing and provides guidance to the Team Lead on developing strategies for procedures and client servicing. The candidate will manage end-to-end claims, review and evaluate claims, coordinate with clients, insurers, adjusters, and internal teams, and ensure compliance with claims procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4-year degree course.
• At least 3 years of experience in an Insurance Company or insurance related firm.
• Preferably have handled non-motor insurance claims.

Responsibilities

• Manages end-to-end claims processing by updating systems, encoding new claims, maintaining records, and ensuring proper documentation and monitoring of all claims.
• Reviews and evaluates claims by checking forms, documents, insurance policies, settlement offers and determining validity or reasons for approval/denial.
• Coordinates and communicates with stakeholders including clients, insurers, adjusters, and internal teams regarding claim status, issues, inspections, and inquiries.
• Ensures compliance and proper handling by following claims procedures, maintaining accurate logs, and handling settlement processes (e.g., checks, deposits, documentation).
