Job summary

Seven Consulting is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to work with clients and the Change Management team in delivering high-quality learning outcomes. You will operate autonomously on projects, taking briefs, analyzing audiences, engaging stakeholders, and guiding learning strategy across complex change initiatives.

You will design and develop learning materials and programs, review solutions with feedback, and drive delivery plans while maintaining strong client and team

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in instructional design, learning development, or related roles.
• Related degree or certification in Education, Instructional Design, L&D, Psychology, Change Management, or Communications.
• Proficiency in MS Office, LMS, and eLearning tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire and ability to contribute to the Change Management Practice.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs from clients and translate into structured learning services.
• Analyze a client’s business to identify audience needs and learning gaps.
• Engage stakeholders and SMEs to define learning requirements.
• Lead the learning strategy and advise on approaches, capability uplift, and adoption risks.
• Design and develop learning materials, programs, and resources.
• Review and refine solutions based on feedback and testing.
• Execute plans, schedule sessions, report progress, manage risks and maintain relationships.

We are looking for talented Instructional Designers with relevant experience, who share our passion for delivering quality outcomes through business change.

Your New Role

As an Instructional Designer, you will work directly with our clients and Change Management team to deliver high quality outcomes. Each engagement is different, but typically an Instructional Designer is expected to be able operate independently (autonomously) on a project with responsibilities that include:

• Taking briefs from clients with the ability to provide direction about our structured learning services
• Analysing a client's business, specifically looking at audience needs (current capabilities and learning gaps to meeting project outcomes)
• Engaging stakeholders and subject matter experts around learning requirements
• Leading the learning strategy and advising project and business leaders on learning approaches, capability uplift, and adoption risks across complex change initiatives
• Design and develop learning materials, training programs and supporting resources
• Reviewing and refining learning solutions based on feedback and testing
• Executing on plans, scheduling learning sessions, reporting on progress and success measures, raising risks and issues, maintaining effective relationships, and being a supportive project team member
• Providing post-learning support to the recipients of change as well as business leaders including knowledge transfer and embedment

What You Bring

Coming into the Change Management Practice as an Instructional Designer means that you will bring professional experience in consulting and/or knowledge of project delivery and the end-to-end delivery of instructional design and learning development. Typically, Instructional Designers have:

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in instructional design, learning development, or organisational learning roles with an understanding of adult learning principles
• A related degree or certification (Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Psychology, Change Management, Communications, or a related field)
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline or Adobe Captivate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A desire and ability to contribute to the Change Management Practice
