We are looking for an experienced engineer who can read and analyze electrical specifications and wiring diagrams, provide applications engineering support to customers and stakeholders.
What will you do?
- Provide general technical support for customers, particularly regarding technical information on products, prices, discounts, and application information during the pre‑sales and after sales process.
- Evaluate product and create bill of materials based on job requirements. Also responsible for pricing review of quotation opportunities from Inside Project Managers and Sales team.
- Answer technical emails or chat inquiries from customers and use technical documents for references to all ASCO owner’s manual, technical bulletins, drawings, and other internal tools.
- Provide support to Inside Project Managers on warranty requests and service visits.
- Set Order Review Meetings (ORM) with FSE & Engineering (VATS) and lead BOM Review Meeting, Kick Off Meeting.
- Communicate with Sales after Engineering releases outline and coordinate approved submittal with ISS.
- Release orders from Engineering to Manufacturing.
- Creation of Submittal.
- Responsible for Order management, Order Entry and Expedites.
- Provide support to Canada and US customers.
- Handle responsibilities with minimal supervision and improve relationships with all customers (Internal/External) and industry contacts by providing prompt, courteous responses to inquiries.
Who would be successful?
- Electrical Engineer; Electronics & Communications are welcome if they have a sound knowledge and experience in electrical engineering applications.
- Has experience in electrical engineering or related fields and exposure to Emergency and Back‑up Systems and to analyzing and reviewing electrical diagrams/specifications.
- Familiarity with standards from National Electrical Code (NEC), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
- Proficient communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong time and management skills.
- Electrical Technical Orientation, team player with a positive attitude, intellectually curious and passionate to learn.
