Qualifications

• 3–5 years of inpatient coding with supervisory/management experience.
• CCS/CIC/CPC certifications required.
• Advanced medical terminology, anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Strong ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervises inpatient coding staff and manages coding accuracy.
• Establishes a formal review process for coding compliance and audits.
• Produces complex reports and monitors DRG appropriateness.
• Ensures documentation quality and coding guidelines.
• Collaborates with training to educate staff on coding practices.
• Stays informed on HIPAA and payer guidelines.
